Take tylenol (acetaminophen): You need tylenol (acetaminophen) and some antibioics.See your doctor for evaluation.

Possible lymph node: If it a small pea to marble sized lump, it is likely a lymph node that has become swollen in response to the infection. Motrin should help and it should resolve as the infection resolves. If the whole area is swollen, you should see your doctor as this may represent a very rare, but possibly dangerous complication of an ear infection - mastoiditis.
