Probably not much: Spina bifida oculta is often an x-ray finding that causes no major symptoms . However spina bifida can cause symptoms such as weakness of the legs and bladder problems and occasionally a characteristic loss of the sensation in the so called 'saddle' area.

Probably none: spina bifida occulta is a bony abnormality. It is most often diagnosed as an incidental finding when evaluating back pain. If you have not evidence of a tethered cord, usually bladder or bowel problems by this age, do not expect any problems in the future.
