Swollen lymph nodes: Apthous ulcers would not cause swollen lymph nodes but can occur in conjunction with another problem. The ulcers are thought to occur due to stress and the swollen lymph nodes can be a sign that you are fighting off something else. A visit to your physician is recommended in this case.
