Non-mendelian: The genetics of behavior and in particular behavioral eating falls under the category of complex genetics where there are multiple genes contributing. Unlike many heritable conditions, a single gene is not associated with a specific eating habit. There are conditions like prader-willi syndrome where the eating habit has a more direct genetic link. For most, there is not a direct link.
