About
Bio
My passion is Global Health and Medical Genetics. I trained at the Medical College of Virginia and the National Institutes of Health. At NIH, our laboratory was the first to perform a human gene therapy trial. After research training, I finished a residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Clinical Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. I then became a faculty member at Saint Louis University where I was Chairman of the Student Progress Committee, a researcher at the SLU Cancer Center and a Geneticist at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. In 2006, I developed technology to lower the cost of diagnostic testing and started my first company after winning the Skandalaris Business Formation prize. I am currently the Medical Director for GuidePoint Labs.
