Diabetes: Type 1 diabetes is the result of an autoimmune attack against the insulin producing cells of the pancreas. There is a genetic predisposition towards this autoimmunity, but not everyone who gets type 1 diabetes has this distribution.
Diabetes is not contagious and you will not get diabetes from using someone else's insulin.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
