Yes: See the website mindinstitute.Org. Epigenetic influences like certain viruses & toxins can change the function of fetal genes without changing gene structure. In some instances this causes the set-up for autism. One human study correlates with animal studies. Moms who had fever for a week or more with the flu/other virus had a 3x higher risk of having a child with autism. More studies are needed.
