See a doc: Swelling in a leg can be commonly seen after injuries. This can be from unrelated medical causes or generally due to poor circulation, inflammation at the injury site or constriction from a brace or cast. However, sometimes you can get a clot in your leg after an injury that can cause swelling in the injured or uninjured extremity, go to er to rule out a clot. This can be serious and even fatal.
