Bone spur: Uncovertebral joint osteophytes, or bone spurs, occur where the vertebral bodies of the third through seventh cervical vertebrae meet. These five stacked neck vertebrae are connected at four cartilage-covered joints – a pair of facet joints located on the articular processes on either side; and a pair of uncovertebral joints formed where small ridges of bone, called the uncinate processes arise.

Nerve pain: It sounds like radiculopathy which is pressure on the nerve root after it leaves the spinal cord, causing these symptoms.

Radiculopathy: Cervical degenerative changes have decreased the space that the nerve goes through to exit into the arm. The area involved would cause a C5 or C6 radiculopathy. Radiculopathies can be managed conservatively with meds, posture principles, therapy. Not reason to believe you can not recover from this as well.
