What does the green color chips show in urine dipstick for blood?

1 doctor answer
Dr. David Bennett
30 years experience in Emergency Medicine
Depends: there are multiple chips that are green depending on what is in the urine. If there is blood in the urine it will turn the yellow chip anywhere from light green to dark green depending on the amount of blood present. The pH chip will also turn green with a higher pH. If protein is present in the urine, the chip will turn a shade of green
