What does blood ++++ (plus 4) mean in urine dipstick test?

Blood...: It means that a significant amount of blood was present in the urine. If you were going through, had recently finished or about to start your period this could be the reason. However, there are other reason like infection, kidney stones, irritation. You would need to follow up with your doctor on the results if having your period was not the reason.
