A member asked:

Tiny cat scratch, can i have rabies?

Probably not...: While rabies is certainly transmissible from cats to humans, it generally requires an ill cat bite not scratch. The infected saliva of an infected animal transmits the rabies virus through injured skin, thereby inoculatin the victim. Incubation of rabies in a human after exposure is 1-3 months typically. I would be much more concerned about the possibility of cat scratch disease.

Unlikely: The cat should be observed for 10 days if possible. If it gets sick you need the rabies vaccine. Wash the wound out throughly. http://www.cdc.gov/rabies/index.html
