No: Cats are not considered rabid. Bats, raccoons, skunks, foxes, and coyotes are important sources of infection for humans.

Perhaps: Of all animals, rabid cats are probably the most aggressive so they are not likely to just bite you, but maul you. Rabies can be transmit from expose to a rabid cat.
