A member asked:

Are shingles a sign of cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: We know most often we can identify a significant medical treatment, illness or psychosocial stressor as a trigger. Cancer is known to be a trigger but though we all have seen patients who had shingles and then soon after were diagnosed with cancer, most with shingles don't get a cancer diagnosis in the following months.
