Is it best to get braces before a bridge?

Absolutely: A bridge can't be moved like a single tooth. Have teeth moved into ideal positions first. Then best possible bridge can be fabricated. Will work better, look better, and last longer.

Bridge before braces: MPaul. Always have the orthodontic specialist communicate with the restoring dentist prior to making that decision. I work with many restorative dentists and protocol is to work up a comprehensive treatment plan that includes timing of bridge placement. In many instances, the bridge is placed AFTER orthodontic treatment.
