Complicated: A fixed bridge will not move with braces. Missing teeth create interesting treatment-planning considerations. Know that a qualified orthodontic specialist is trained in, and experienced in, treating problems just like yours. Ask your family dentist to refer you to an the orthodontic specialist that he thinks works best resolving problems such as yours.

Team approach: The best advice that we can give you is to speak to both a general dentist or prosthodontist who can refer you to an orthodontist who together can discuss your treatment options for restoring your mouth to the best possible function and aesthetic result. Look at the entire picture and long term value of selecting the best choice and not just short term compromised results. Seek second opinion?
