I have pain in my ankle because i roll my foot when i walk to avoid bunion pain. should i wear an ankle brace until i get orthotics?

Yes plus: Bunion pain has several sources: 1. Rubbing directly against the shoe (get wider or softer shoe leather). 2. Arthritis in the joint (hallux rigidus) treated with stiff soled shoes with a rocker can be helped by orthotic injections, surgery the rolling of the ankle multiple times may have stretched out your ankle ligaments and require a brace/physical therapy.

Ankle pain: You are probably splinting off the painful bunion resulting in ankle pain. The orthotics will help with the pronation that caused the bunion , but you will eventually need to fix the bunion . Good luck.
