Neurogenic bladder: Stroke and diabetes can lead to increased risk of neurogenic bladder. Stroke can affect nerve signals between brain and muscles that control bladder emptying. Uncontrolled diabetes can damage nerves that control bladder. See doctor regularly to keep diabetes and blood pressure under control. Also consider seeing a urologist, especially if you retain urine and get frequent bladder infections.

Neurogenic bladder: More than likely, this patient has a neurogenic bladder as a combination of the prior strokes, and diabetes mellitus. Depending on whether male or female and the age, it may also be prostate problems (male) or chronic UTI (female).
