Hard to say: A detailed exam would probably be needed for a more specific diagnosis than "charlie horse" of the hand. Based upon the diagnosis, specific treatment options could then be discussed. Probably the two most common causes would be a vascular problem or a neurologic problem. Carpal tunnel syndrome, for example, is an impingement of the median nerve in the wrist and can be associated with cramping.
