Neosporin: Contains neomycin. 15% of population has an allergy to it. I would use poysporin or bacitracin or aquaphor on the face.

It is fine: It is fine to use neosporin on a 2nd degree burn. Wash the burn wound daily. Apply antibiotic ointment. Cover with a dressing. Check your tetanus status.

Neosporin: Is a good burn dressing, particularly for small burns or facial burns. Larger one may need something different, like silvadene (silver sulfadiazine).
