A member asked:

Have a 2nd degree burn on hand caused by hot glue swollen w/ rash around it. in pain. neosporin not helping. what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Glove with Aloe Vera: Hand burns can be tricky. The neosporin is okay, but aloe vera gel will hydrate the skin better. If you put the gel in a rubber glove, you can tape the glove to your wrist and create a moist occlusive dressing. Colloidal silver is good for healing, and it is more gentle than iodine for example. If you get a prescription for silver sulfadiazine, it ought to work too.
