A member asked:

Last night i burned myself on an oven and i believe i received a smallish second degree burn on my leg. the burn is white and below the first layer of skin. is it okay to use neosporin on it? i cleaned it and put a bandaid. what should i do next?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is okay to put an antibiotic cream on the raw area. Triple antibiotic cream may be even better. It should heal on its own, but depending on the thickness of the burn, there may be residual pigmentation and/or scar. Wish you good health!
