Abnormal blood test: Usually due to abnormal blood test result- high or low white blood cells, hemoglobin, or platelets. Blood clotting or bleeding problems are also treated by hematologists. Finally, blood cancers such as leukemia or lymphoma may also be treated by a hematologist.
