Steroids yes: Morton's neuroma develops at the 3rd web usually in females, most of the time steroid injection helps. Surgery is required in fewcases.

Yes: It has to be done with sustained pressure that induces neuropraxia and may prevent surgery. Just injections not likely to do any more than give the diagnosis.
