Before : Before i would recommend this treatment to a patient i would want to see peer reviewed studies that proved it was more efficacious and less dangerous than traditional treatment. I doubt there are "fewer risks" than surgery also nerve tissue is not fibrous.

The alcohol: Injections are highly effective. There are evidenced based medicine articles showing the effectiveness of such injections.....Many of the studies are performed at much higher dosing, however, in main stream podiatry, 4% appears to be most common.

Alcohol: These injections are very effective as dr kass stated. I have used them and they are an excellent alternative to traditional open surgery . This allows patients to not miss work , no bandaging , less pain, etc. See your podiatrist for assistance
