How much weight can i lose due to getting teeth braces?

As much as you want: Although getting braces at time makes your teeth sore it will not guarantee you lose weight, exercise daily, caloric control and you can lose as much weight as you want!

Not much: Braces will not help with weight loss. To loose weight safely you need to cut out the junk food, fried food and snack food. Walk briskly 1-2mi/day and throw out the scale! find clothing that is tight, do the above and check with clothing in 6 wks. Eat 5 small meals/day about 2000cal each made up of protein 3oz, veg/salad and a little carb like boiled potato, plain rice. You can do this.

You are in control: Braces by themselves won't cause you to lose weight :( Hopefully they will encourage you to be more conscientious about what you eat. This lifestyle change can give you all the weight loss that you want.

Up to you: Braces do not cause weight loss or gain. You will need to avoid hard, sticky, chewy foods, so you will eat healthier, but not necessarily less calories. Want to loose weight, first get the go-ahead from your PCP. Seek advice from a Nutritionist (ask PCP for recommendation). Decrease calorie intake and increase calorie utilization. There's no magic.
