Up to a week...: The taste can be caused from several factors. The better that you can stay hydrated and keep your mouth clean, the faster the taste will go away.

Post Op duration.: Depending on the extent of your surgery, usually the "bad" taste comes from a difficult hygiene. Make sure you brush your tongue. It may last up to 3 to 4 wks as healing comes.
