A few options: First it is important to brush your teeth twice a day and floss regularly. (make sure to brush the tongue as well) drink lots of water. Chewing sugarless gum or sugarless candy will stimulate saliva which will wash away additional debris. You can also use over the counter mouth rinses or antiseptic mouth-rinse products. Baking soda: Baking soda is a good home ready to neutralize acid from reflux, often responsible for symptoms. If the hernia is small, it probably isn't responsible for the symptoms. I it's large, may require surgical repair by an experienced laparoscopic surgeon.
