Yes: While osteoarthritis can be potentiated by certain things such as poor posture or obesity, it is also a natural process from normal "wear and tear" on our joints from activities of daily living.

Yes.: As most of us get the oa in the spine, even though it might not be causing any problems for some patients, i think the figure mentioned is like 40-50%.
