A member asked:

8years ago i did ct for head 5years ago kidney radiography(don't know type) now xray, bone density, mri of spine i'm worry about this amount of rays

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Radiation exposure: The amount of radiation in an xray and BMD is minimal. radiation doses from CT may be highly variable between institutions. CT head = 2mSv radiation doses from 0.1 to 1.0 mSv carry an additional risk of death from cancer comparable to the risk of death associated with a flight of 4500 miles, whereas doses in the range of 1 to 10 mSv have a higher risk, comparable to driving 2000 miles.
