Need physical exam: I am assuming you had hoffas syndrome, or fat pad impingement? If you are still having pain, the surgery may have not been successful or scar tissue built up. However, you should also be assessed for patellar tracking syndrome, which could cause anterior knee pain, would be easier fix. Try quad strengthening, especially medial quad and see if that helps.
