Usually: Dark, multiple colors (variegated) often raised with irregular borders can occur in a congenital mole you need to see a doctor as there are several forms of melanoma.

Moles & The Internet: I bet you could get a good representative view of how these look with 'google images'. It is hard to describe in words that translate well into visuals on the simple app we are using. Melanoma is dark, multicolored, often rough, and often assymetrical.

ABCDE: Asymmetric, irregular borders, color changes, diameter (larger is higher risk), elevation. Any mole with changes, irregular pigmentation or changing symptoms like bleeding or iching needs o bee evaluated.

Many ways: The bottom line is that melanoma is a potentially deadly form of skin cancer that can have close to a 100% cure rate if detected early. If you have any mole that concerns you for any reason you should see a dermatologist asap.
