Yes: This is typical of this injury and WB progression in the earlier stages of healing. Try taking more weight off the foot with crutches or a cane for an extra day or two and try to gradually increase the amount of weight on your injured foot. If you fail to progress see your physician for x ray and recheck.

Probably : Yes, bone heals in 8-10 weeks. Just because the bone is considered healed or close to healed does not mean that the swelling and pain immediately go away. Feet swell and hurt for months after an injury such as a metatarsal fracture. Give it time-- take it easy and "listen" to it.
