What to do if i found out that my foot (navicular) fracture was an avulsion fracture and would like to know: - is it as serious as a normal fracture?

Yes: The area needs to be repaired so the attached ligament or tendon can be properly aligned.

Avulsion: This is different from a normal fracture and usually requires surgery as the tendon that pulled the piece off is no longer attached.
