Appendectomy @ age10, 1969. got gangrene; stitches left open to drain for 6 mo. c-section, 20 yrs ago, adhesions removed. now i have extreme pain that keeps me awake at night. what are my options?

Pt vs: Surgery as you probably have adhesions again. It is amazing what a good therapist who works with adhesions can do.

Abd pain: Your next step is to determine the cause of your pain. If it is adhesions, they may be able to break up some, but not all and again you're at high risk for recurrence of those. Pain management may be an option but it's almost the last resort.
