Diarrhea after appy: Diarrhea 2 months after an appendectomy is unlikely to be surgery related. Diarrhea can result after a large amount of colon is removed but generally not after an appendectomy, which removes a small tube-like structure from the cecum. Diarrhea is most commonly due to an infectious etiology (virus or bacterial). If the diarrhea is persistent or severe, it is best to see a doctor.
