See below: The ability through active or passive motion of the hip to elicit s "snapping" or "popping" sensation. This is often caused be a tendon problem around the proximal femur from multiple potential causes. The ileo-Psoas tendon is one common culprit. Initial treatment usually involve physical therapy in an attempt to stretch the involved tendon.
