Type of skin cancer: Melanoma is a tumor of the pigment producing cells of the skin. The skin cancer can either be pigmented or skin tone. It can be more aggressive than other types of skin cancer and definitely has a higher risk for spread beyond the skin to the lymph nodes, lungs, brain etc with serious consequences.

Melanoma: Is a tumor of the melanocyte cells, the cells which produce pigment. It is one of the most aggressive and sometimes lethal skin cancers. It can occur at even a young age. It can be hereditary. More common in fairer populations, and in lighter skin people near equator (melanoma cap of world norther australia). Greater chance after severe burns! usually looks irregular and brown in color.
