Not likely: If more than a week has elapsed and no fluid filled rashes have appeared, then it is not shingles.

Not likely...: If rash has not broke out.Or of it crosses over the midline of your spine. May be nerve irritation from a mild radiculopathy or medial nerve branch irritation from vertebral facet arthritis. If pain continues, with no rash, consider seeing an interventional pain specialist. Hope that helps!
