On an ultrasound some spots and red and blue what does this mean?

Doppler signals: You are referring to color doppler. The red signals are coming from blood moving towards the ultrasound machine probe and the blue is flowing away from the probe. This can help the radiologist determine if the direction of flow is normal. Another form of doppler can tell how fast the blood is moving.
