No: Cataracts are the "gray hair of the eyes" - everyone gets them if they live long enough. There is no evidence that eye color significantly contributes to speed of cataract growth. In fact, most people have lens changes by the time they are in their early 50s. The time to have cataract surgery is dictated by how bothered you are by the vision changes caused by your cataracts.
