How to deal with a panic attack coming off xanax (alprazolam)?

Carefully: The problem with coming off Xanax (alprazolam) is the risk of a seizure. A seizure is more likely to occur after taking high doses for extended periods of time and then abruptly stopping. Dosages greater than four mgs per day for a month or more, are more worrisome. Otherwise, the anxiety should go away, day by day. Any medication to decrease anxiety now, will likely just cost you more anxiety later.
