Can u get gastric sleeve with acid reflux?

Yes.: There are different causes of acid reflux. Most commonly it is caused by a hiatal hernia (a weakness in the diaphragm muscle) which can be repaired. Other causes include obesity, bacterial infection and esophageal muscle weakness (low les pressure). As long as no permanent damage a sleeve can be done safely.

Maybe: This is not the best procedure for weight loss if there is gerd. A gastric bypass would be preferred.

Yes indeed : There is a 15% incidence if de novo reflux symptoms after sleeve. It may be that repairing hernia at the diaphragm where esophagus come through may prevent these symptoms. Gastric bypass cures reflux 100%. If there is a history of sever reflux causing esophagitis or barrett's esophagus, go with bypass.
