Yes: It is recommended to have all baby teeth out however in some cases where a phase 1 treatment can be started, some baby teeth can still be there.

When to start Ortho: When to start orthodontic care is decided on a case by case basis. Certain situations warrant early intervention to prevent more serious malocclusions & may be initiated years prior to losing all one's primary (baby) teeth. Other situations warrant treatment once all baby teeth are out. It's very common to start during the transition phase. It's never too early to get an orthodontic consult.
