Pedunculated: Fibroids can be on the outer surface of the ovary, in the wall of the uterus, or in the lining of the uterus. In the first and last examples, they can hang from a stalk. This mobility related to the stalk might allow an intra-uterine fibroid to prolapse through the cervix.

Intracavitary fibroi: A fibroid growing in the cavity of the uterus - intracavitary fibroid - while it's growing can get stretched and pushed (by uterus cramping) so that it actually comes out the cervix into the vagina. The fibroid can then be removed vaginally.
