There are choices: A fibroid in the lower uterine segment or in the upper cervix can be a real challenge. It can lead to an obstructed labor and the need for a ceserean. Treatment prior to achieving pregnancy is highly recommended. There are options more conservative than hysterectomy, an operation called a myomectomy, to remove the fibroid alone can be considered. Another option is called uae.

No hysterectomy: You have several options before you should ever consider a hysterectomy. There's a myomectomy to remove isolated fibroids, hifu (high frequency ultrasound), uterine fibroid embolization. You should definitely ask your doctor about these options. You only need treatment now if you are symptomatic.
