Yes: Even though the loss of clot can cause bleeding, however patient are more succeptible to dry socket when a clot does not form.

Possible: It's quite possible. It's more likely to have a dry socket develop if the clot comes out 2 days post op but certainly bleeding, infection, swelling can occur.
