Granulation tissue?: Sometimes if a tooth is removed due to an infection and the infected tissue is not removed completely to allow healing the infection will remain in the form of what is known as granulation tissue. This tissue must be completely removed and the socket irrigated with saline to resolve. Your best bet would be to see an oral surgeon for further evaluation. Good luck.
