How long can i wait after a root canal to have tooth crowned?

Ask dentist ..: Your dentist will advise you on that depending on what he found when did xray and after actual root canal done. Pertinent things relevant may be extent of infected root, abscess, extent of manipulation with dental tools, etc. In general, i would think at least a month.

Depends: For teeth in the back of the mouth (molars and pre-molars) you should usually have the tooth crowned asap after having a root canal to prevent tooth fracture. Front teeth do not always need a crown unless a lot of tooth structure was lost due to decay or fracture or some other cause.
