Unlikely: It is possible but unlikely. Poison ivy is due to allergic contact dermatitis and due to the breakdown of his skin barrier the skin got infected with the bacteria. If you don't have the skin issues, then nothing to really worry about.

Infection: If he has impetigo, it is contagious. It can be spread by skin to skin contact, or contact with contaminated clothing, towels, etc.
